Aylesbury Vale District Council permits 700 new houses
Against unanimous local opposition, the application for a Mixed Development of 700 houses on land south of the Buckingham bypass (A421) gained outline approval in September 2009. See the Buckingham Society report here.
The Society is an active supporter of the new national Civic Society Initiative, is one of over 1000 Civic Societies in England, and is a member of the Association of North Thames Amenity Societies (ANTAS) and the Association of Small Historic Towns and Villages (ASHTAV).
